Children can attend our pre-school for a morning or full day.
The day starts at 9am and finishes at 3pm. Children are greeted by a member of pre-school staff, hang their coat on their peg and are then free to play. Daily changing activities are set out in one room. These focus on creative, construction and sensory play. The second room has the book corner, role play toys, floor play, drawing and maths. Each day there is an adult led activity that the children are encouraged to try. |
Towards the end of the morning, children help to tidy away the toys they have been playing with before song time. At 12 o'clock the morning children leave.
The teachers and children all sit and eat lunch together. The children and teachers chatter happily away to each other and when everyone has finished the lunch boxes are put away and children may get down. Children are encouraged to be outside as much as possible. We have a climbing frame and a large garden to run around and explore. Towards the end of the day, children help to tidy up and then we have story time to finish the day. |
Events |
Some of the events we run |
During the year we have special events and trips that the whole school are involved with. These are always great fun and the children very much enjoy getting prepared at school or home. We observe every religious even that reflect the children in our setting.
Parents are encouraged to come in and help celebrate a day or event that means something to them. Recently we had an American mother tell us about thanks giving. |
